Unified window button and launcher in XFCE

I recently switched from Manjaro Cinnamon to XFCE. In Cinnamon, one can “pin” launchers in the panel, and when one clicks on the launcher, the active window button takes the same place (just like in Windows 7).

In XFCE, I the launchers and the window buttons are separate. Is there a way to unify them to save screen space?
This is how it looks in XFCE.

This is Cinnamon, with unified launcher and window buttons.

Install dockbarx from the AUR. It’s a replacement icons-only task manager that allows you to pin launchers.

Another solution is xfce4-docklike-plugin.

xfce4-docklike-plugin-git is small, simple and has bigger icons. But it does not show a preview of the window.
dockbarx has many more features. There is also xfce4-dockbarx-plugin

I thought it does not support moving pinned icons, but it does.

One has to hold ctrl to move them.
