Unable to satisfy dependency ‘xproto’ required by libxfont

I can’t seem to solve this one. I get this message when trying to run updates or trying to install new applications (such as Evolution mail client)

When I search for xproto or fontsproto seems like they are install. At least what comes up in the GUI add/remove software is installed.

could not satisfy dependencies:

  • unable to satisfy dependency ‘xproto’ required by libxfont
  • unable to satisfy dependency ‘fontsproto’ required by libxfont

xproto and fontsproto no longer exist and were replaced by xorgproto quite some time ago. Nothing requires the old libxfont as far as I can see. libxfont2 is in the extra repo.

Thanks, I just removed it then using pacman -Rcns and now it let me install Evolution application.
