Unable to reboot, so hard off and now won't boot past dev/nvme0n1p2: clean

Hi,

I have recently bought a Dell Precision 5770.

After installation I found I wasn’t able to reboot, stuck
waiting for process: 438 (systemd-udevd)

So, I held the poweroff button after several seconds to off it.

Now, when I boot its stuck on the below
dev/nvme0n1p2: clean

The first time this happened I thought bad luck and reinstalled, but its happening still.

I was able to use ctrl-alt-f2 and run commands after looking at [HowTo] Resolve an unbootable Manjaro (black screen, login failed, cant boot, etc)

I also have a 5760, which works fine which I am using now and scp-ed the output below onto.

How do I fix this?

edit your post and use formatting on the inxi output…
and it looks like you are on RAID, so in bios switch to AHCI - if you have windows installed, you will not be able to boot into it, when you switch to AHCI

Thanks @brahma , apologies I missed the step to use ``` .

I will look at the bios. I don’t use windows

@brahma, that was a brilliant spot! Changing to ACHI allows me to login to KDE now, thanks so much for that.

But I still can’t reboot, how can I fix that?

since you are now on ahci, i would do again a clean install and hopefully that fixes it…
also you have nvidia so after the clean install add this ibt parameter, update your system, and switch to the kernel 6:
sudo mhwd-kernel -i linux60
this may have better support for your hardware

Super, thanks again @brahma.

I will install again.

It all seems to be working now, thanks again.
