Unable to play any sound

After installing Manjaro I am unable to play back any sound. I tried playback with cmus and Firefox, both to no avail. I’m glad for any hints or (non NULL) pointers :slight_smile:

you dont have installed nvidia drivers… thats not related to your audio issue, just noticed it…
and is:
fast boot disabled in bios - you may not have this option;
and fast startup disabled in windows if you are dual booting;
and try with different kernel, for example install the 6.1, boot with and see if it works there

Well as you see from aplay -L, the devices are there. Of what device are you talking about?

ALC3220 could have vendor-specific pins. There are some models, which you can try: HD-Audio Codec-Specific Models — The Linux Kernel documentation

If that doesn’t work, try hdajackretask from the package alsa-tools. There you can patch the pins manually (it is a GUI).

response from aplay -L usually shows default ALSA output is PulseAudio (or PipeWire) and only sysdefault is set to use onboard audio card
