Unable to get the nonfree drivers to work

Hi everyone!

I have been struggling with the nvidia drivers for weeks, so I thought it was time to make a post!
To make it clear, I am running Manjaro (i3 edition), with only 1 GPU : a GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER (no integrated GPU like intel graphics or whatever).
I want to use the proprietary Nvidia drivers, NOT the nouveau one.

When I boot, I get either Lighdm: failed to start display manager or a black screen, depending on which kernel I am using. Right now, I am trying both Linux510 and Linux54 as they are LTS. I am only able to see the error message on Linux511-rt if I remember correctly.

The problem comes from the Xorg server which tries to use the nvidia drivers but it says “no screens found”.

I tried everything that I could possibly come up with or find online.
I am using mhwd for installing the drivers and mhwd-kernel for installing the kernels.

I really don’t know what to do.

Last thing: if I uninstall every driver I could find listed in mhwd -li, lighdm works and continues to the login screen, but using the nouveau driver: I never installed it so I don’t know how this is even possible!

Thanks so much in advance for your time!
