Unable to fix underscan on my 4K monitor

Hello everyone!

I am running an Asus PA329Q on an Nvidia GTX980 with proprietary drivers. The monitor is usually connected via DP. A couple of days ago I was forced to use an HDMI cable for a short time. Since that time my monitor is not using the whole screenspace anymore, resulting in a black frame around my desktop. This happens all the time, regardless of which device I connect to the screen. Question: How do I get this back to a normal state?

What I have tried so far:

  • resetting the monitor to factory settings
  • using the Nvidia Control Center on a Windows machine to find a proper setting
  • using nvidia-settings on my Manjaro machine to do the same

This seems like it should be fixed on the hardware itself, so in the On-Screen menu of the monitor.

Thank you. I was looking for a possibility to do so, but did not find any setting which could resolve the issue other than to reset all settings which did not help.
