Two Pamac Qt windows shown after boot

I have recently switched from Ubuntu to Manjaro, both with KDE Plasma. After boot, most times - but not always - in addition to the applications I have set to autostart (browser, e-mail etc.), two instances of Pamac Qt are also started. This is independent of whether or not there are any available updates. How can I get rid of them?

KDE Plasma Version 5.19.5
KDE Frameworks Version 5.73.0
Qt Version 5.15.0
Kernel Version 5.8.6-1-MANJARO

TIA.

Welcome to the forum!

This is because there was probably a Pamac session running already when you rebooted, and the session got saved.

Open up the System Settings and navigate to…

Workspace → Startup and Shutdown → Desktop Session

Make sure that “Start with an empty session” is selected, click Apply, close all windows, and log out ─ rebooting isn’t necessary.

When you now log in again, you shouldn’t have anything running except for the applications you’ve selected to automatically start on login.
