Sorry ive only just checked and i clicked on the power option pc shutdown .
I do have a nvidia icon in the taskbar now that was not there last time

Sorry im so confused please share again.
When i right click the optimus manager i click switch to NVIDIA then get the power message i click ok then the taskbar vanishes.the screen goes black and there is no desktop totally black but still running ,as my keyboard lights are blinking.I have to hold the power button and turn it off then turn it on again the windows key does nothing .
