I’m pretty comfortable with the terminal emulators I use on graphical devices–usually alacritty/kitty plus whatever distribution the comes with–and I’m learning more about some basic configuration options. One thing I’ve never liked is the default terminal in headless environments (TTY4, headless server, any time
cat $TERM yields
linux or somesuch). This is mostly an aesthetic thing for me, but you know that the base aesthetics are iffy when entering into tmux actually improves the visual appeal.
So, with that preamble done, any recommendations for headless-ready emulators that are better than stock? Better aesthetically, richer feature set, maybe that use GPU like kitty or alacritty (not sure this matters).
Thank you in advance.
