I’ve hunted down a Reddit thread from the Arch community that says I should install sway: https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/us05m1/tap_to_click_on_wayland_sway/
I installed it, however there’s a big warning:
Note: All proprietary graphics drivers are not supported, including NVIDIA. After NVIDIA driver version 495, sway works if you enable kernel mode setting and run sway with
--unsupported-gpu
.
Now I figured this shouldn’t be an issue since I don’t want Sway to touch my graphics or anything, just make my tap to click work, but apparently it won’t even search unless I start hacking the kernel… how can I get tap to click to work correctly?
