Everything works, but it’s very slow. I did some speedtests (from speedtest net) one on my pc, second on my dad’s laptop. My download was 6-7 times slower than on his Win10 device. What I should do?

you could try the 5.18 kernel and see if it improves the speed

rt or normal?

the normal one

It didn’t helped :confused: Upload is only 3 Mbps difference, but download over 60 Mbps. Have you got any new solutions?

yes, installing dkms drivers could help, but first post output from:
mhwd-kernel -li

here it is

Currently running: 5.18.6-1-MANJARO (linux518)
The following kernels are installed in your system:
   * linux515
   * linux518

so create this file:
sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
inside it put this line:
blacklist r8188eu
then press ctrl+x to save the file

install headers:
sudo pacman -S linux515-headers linux518-headers

install driver:
pamac build 8188eu-dkms-git
reboot and test wifi

Good news! Upload is +/- same and the download rised from 10 to 20 Mbps but its nothing compared to around 70 on laptop. Are there any next steps?

provide output from:
inxi -xn

Network:

Dev1 is unused, I’m 100% sure of that

Btw I did some more speedtesting, download is 30 Mbps!

output from this:
lspci -k | grep 8188

none

 ✘ pepee@manjaro  ~  lspci -k | grep 8188
 ✘ pepee@manjaro  ~ 

ok so lets try different driver, remove this one:
pamac remove 8188eu-dkms-git
install this:
pamac build 8188eu-aircrack-dkms-git
reboot and test

After changing kernel back to 5.15 (lack of this driver for 5.18) download can hit 45 Mbps and system tray wifi icon have 4 lines, it just works. Thanks!

5.18 is just not working well with some wifi adapters and has not for a good minute now.
