Hi, I’ve been playing around with Manjaro and it’s nice, so I decided to ditch windows on my PC and go all in on linux. Now my problem is I got a USB adapter to get wifi on the PC and I can’t figure out how to get the drivers installed for it (wifi just worked on the laptop.) Since I can’t get internet on the PC, my options are to find the files on my laptop, stick it on a USB stick and plug it into the PC. Can anyone help my beginner self with this problem? Please and Thank You.
Edit: found a similar thread, but I couldn’t figure out how to do it, but I did run these commands:
inxi -Nazy

The driver is available from the AUR (Arch User repository). Make certain that you have the appropriate Linux headers for your kernel and dkms and base-devel package installed as well.
Note: from the AUR page: You may have better luck with the following driver:
To all having an issue with this driver:
Please try this alternate package:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rtw88-dkms-git.
Install via Pamac GUI or in terminal:
pamac build rtl8821au-dkms-git
OR
pamac build rtw88-dkms-git
Reboot
I actually arrived at that on my own, but it’s nice to get confirmation that that’s what I should have done.
EDIT for anyone who’s having the same problem, I used bluetooth tethering from my phone to access the internet. It wasn’t very fast with my phone but i found out I could tether with a USB cable which was way faster
