First off, I love Manjaro and I am truly grateful for anyone’s work contributing to this rad OS. Really, really thankful.
Lately, though …
Since the last big update (something like a month ago) my touchpad absolutely works against me. I guess it has to do with Wayland taking over more and more (not my favourite direction, anyway) — now tabs close, things get pasted, right-click context menus will only open every other time, and so on, and so forth. It is actually disturbing and interrupting all my workflows.
So, what I want to do is, deactivate or disable any form of gestures (two-, three- or more fingers) and also, switch off the middle click entirely.
Any idea, anyone? I’ve searched quite a lot online already, to no avail. so, any help or simply a nudge in the right direction would be much appreciated.
I work exclusively with the touchpad, so, any advice involving a mouse won’t be helpful.
Thanks in advance to anyone finding the time to help me out here; I’m desperate.
I just checked my touchpad settings and it seems that “tap-to-click” has been re-enabled. (System Settings → Mouse and Touchpad → Touchpad). I normally turn this off to avoid such inconveniences.
Oh yes, I would have loved to remain on Xorg instead of Wayland, not just for this reason, but I like Plasma way too much, and they decided to follow the Wayland path. Thank you anyway
