Touchpad freezes and comes back only after hardware reset

Hello guys,

For the last weeks, my touchpad stopped working while using it to browse. This DOES NOT happen when I use a mouse (Logitech MX Master 2S) and typically occurs when making gestures with more than one finger (scrolling for example). When it freezes, I simply need to close the lid of my notebook (Dell XPS 9310) and it comes back working. An important note is that my settings allow the Linux to go to sleep mode while with the lid closed.

Any ideas? What should I do to stop this behavior?

You might also want to add i915.enable_fbc=1 too …

Test also on X11 session, does it happen also?

@bogdancovaciu Tried adding i915.enable_fbc=1 and on X11 session and no luck, same problem. :confused:
