I use an XFCE desktop, but still use the Totem Video Player from Gnome. It worked fine for years until recently. It’s broken as of today’s update.
The one from Flatpak is completely broken, all videos simply freeze less than a second of running them. The one from the official repositories are better. Most videos play fine, but occasionally stutter or freeze. Trying to make the video fullscreen makes things worse, and the video freezes approxmately half the time. Both versions for Totem are 42.0.
At the same time, VLC works fine. I can also play the same video with Firefox.
