I am having problems with my webcam not activating under Cinnamon Manjaro using either Cheese, Firefox or Chromium. The camera sometime activates and shows an image but may suddenly go off in a few seconds using Google Meet under Chromium. It sometimes comes on under Cheese but more often it displays an error.
The camera is enabled in the bios and I cannot see an hardware switch. It’s odd in that sometimes it comes on in Cheese but on a reboot of the laptop it does not and I have to keep restarting the app. I cannot get it to work in firefox and in Chromium it comes on momentary then goes off.
