I’ve followed the “for reasons of security” and everything went well (signature verification)
I know there is also Torbrowser-launcher in the official repo and in AUR tor-browser-bin and both they seems to verify the signature while installing it.

You can use the convenience methods - that is entirely up to you - the reason for the phrasing in the guide is to be sure that if you choose to use one of the other options - you do so because you are making an informed choice.

I have checked the tor-browser-launcher - it work as I expect - but everyone need to make their own choice if the obscurity provided by tor network is necessary.

You may know how one wrong phrase can make other blame the writer for encouraging insecurity - so I sometimes make - perhaps - unnecessary statements to ensure one make an informed choice.
