The recent update was the most devastating I have ever experienced. I managed to fix a problem of my laptop screen not being recognized thanks to some aid in the update post (downgrading optimus-manager
), but now I find a weirder issue.
Everything works fine until I suspend the system; then when I log back in most of the text in Gnome-related stuff (extensions like the dock, the application menu, even the login screen itself, etc) is just gone for good. The applications themselves work fine, it’s just the DE. Here I attach a screenshot:
