Tiling with Material Shell - wrong terminal size

Hello! I just installed manjaro today. I choose gnome, because the material shell looked really good.
Sadly, I’m having an issue with it:
Sometimes the shell has a margin which should not be there so that there is gap to the adjacent window.

I would include some screenshots, but I cannot include links or images in this post.

Did anybody else experience that kind of issues?

This is a known issue with gnome-terminal. It accepts only window sizes that are multiples of the font width. There is no solution, it is a feature, not a bug. The workaround is to use another terminal instead of gnome-terminal. I recommend gnome-console as an alternative.

Thanks for your help! I replaced the gnome-terminal with kitty and now it works like a charm
