Hi,
I had no problem with the third monitor using a NVIDIA GT218 [GeForce 210].
I changed this old video card with another old video card. The “new” video card is a NVIDIA G72 [GeForce 7300 LE].
Now the third monitor show only the mouse pointer.
XFCE recognizes the monitor, and permits it to move windows on in, but it appears black (except for the arrow).
