Thinkpad t14s black screen when closing lid

Thinkpad 14s goes to a black screen when closing the lid and reopening, it doesn’t seem to sleep on close lid.

KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.4

Kernel Version: 5.8.1-3-MANJARO
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U with Radeon Graphics
Memory: 14.9 GiB of RAM

thanks but when the screen goes back cause it is on the sleep option it just gets stuck no matter if you reopen it, it won’t wake up

So what you’re saying is: you want it to go to sleep, just that it wakes up so my solution of not letting it go to sleep is no good…

Did you check in your BIOS => Config => Power the type of sleep state ? (Windows 10 / Linux)
Did you add options for Amd Renoir in your grub ? (amd_iommu=on iommu=pt idle=nomwait)

I have the T14 and with these settings added, sleep is ok when I close the lid and wake up is ok when I open it. If you’ve already added/set these options, I can’t help you more as I use Gnome.

Switching the sleep state to “Linux” fixed it for me.
Never expected some BIOS options like this. Thanks for the tip.
