I am on Cinnamon and had never big problems, but out of curiosity I took a look at .xsession-errors and also found these “Theme parsing errors”, because I use default Manjaro theme Adapta-Maia.
It drove me nuts finding this gtk-contained.css file, but never found it.
So I can’t fix this “Missing closing bracket” error.
So what’s the matter here? Is the theme really broken or just the implementation in Manjaro. Btw the adapta-gtk-theme is now archived at github, which means no further development.
The packer of the adapta-maia-theme for Manjaro is @Yochanan
It hasn’t been default for quite some time. Mint-L-Dark-Teal is the default now.
Ok maybe I still use Adapta-Maia, because the upper right corner buttons in Mint-L-(Dark)-Teal are so small.
But I see that Mint-Y-(Dark)-Teal has bigger buttons. Maybe I stay with this theme. Only the color is slightly different.
Any chance Adapta-Maia theme gets a fix?
Btw I use Applet Dark Mode. To my surprise I can set different themes for window border and control.
But for the window border there is no Mint-Y-Dark-Teal selectable in drop down menu.
How comes?
In Cinnamon see system settings themes the windows border theme and the window control theme have been amalgamated into a single theme called applications
Nope. As you observed, upstream has been dead for years. The only thing that our custom package does is change the colors.
I would have already removed all related Adapta themes from the repo, however the i3 profile still requires it. If it still works with i3, then it will still be around, I suppose.
Obviously. Hence why we use Mint-L-Teal instead of Mint-Y-Teal.
Now why did I read that as “The i3 police still requires it”?
Because you’re in a dream. Did the horns kick in and your shoes start to squeak? 1
1 Very obscure song reference
I’m not wearing any shoes at the moment — it’s too hot indoors — and it’s too late for anyone to blow any horns. But I think I hear some Windows-using n00bs outside.
Who wears shoes indoors, anyway?
Too hot? It’s only about 70° F / 21° C there.
Alright, enough silliness.
We now return you to your regular support thread.
The heat stays indoors, and it’s very humid too.
Since I’m pretty sure you don’t have central air in your flat, you should probably put fans in your window(s) for proper air circulation.
Anyway…
Yes, it’s my fault. @Aragorn and I have been silly today and I started it.
Sorry, @Machion. By the way, I moved your reply to a new thread since you use Cinnamon and the thread you posted in was about i3.
Everything fine
Yes I recognized this.
So under Themes>Applications except Mint-X, Mint-L/Y have dark themes.
@Yochanan do you change anything around the Mint-themes?
