The new update of Manjaro fails: key

Hi,
Since about 1 year I have been using Manjaro, updating on the go, always without problem. During update now the following window pops up:

Transmission summary
To install: mhwd-nvidia-450xx 450.57-1 Official repository

On different occasions the update instead results in this window:

Transmission summary
To build: google-chrome 85.0.4183.83-1 (84.0.4147.135-1) AUR
To install: mhwd-nvidia-450xx 450.57-1 Official repository

When trying to apply any of these, the process of loading necessary keys stops with the message
Transmission failed

Solving this is beyond my ability, help would be much appreciated.

you have a radeon video card not nvidia card
can you return

sudo mhwd -li

This leads me to believe you’re using a graphical updater (Pamac?).
Try updating from a terminal to see more/better error messages and let’s exclude the AUR for this Manjaro update:

$ sudo pacman -Syu

The last rows says that the key “CAA6A59611C7F07E” is missing from the keyring and that the transaction couldn’t be initiated, no parcel upgraded.
So unfortunately, it stopped there. I had identical problem in Aug 19, solved in my topic “Dropbox and key problems”.

Hi, the missing key (CAA6A59611C7F07E) could be downloaded from the ubuntu keyserver, but the next command ended up in failure as before
sudo pacman -S archlinux-keyring manjaro-keyring

Believing that Google Chrome or Dropbox might be involved in the update problem I uninstalled both of them, using Pamac.

A new attempt to update resulted in:

The update then stopped with ”Transmission failed”.

If validation still fails then the file is either invalid or the keyserver cannot locate the key.
