Thank You Manjaro TEAM & Community

Dear Manjaro Community,

Dear colleagues

First of all , I would like to wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year and Success for the future of this community and the Manjaro Linux Distro.

I have been using Manjaro since August 2014…I still remember the first weeks when I started learning Linux as well , together with the help of the community to install my first 0.8.11 release for the first time. I had many ups and downs since then, but even after more than 10 years it is still the only Linux distro what I like and use.

In my first months I even had direct support from @philm and Bernhard L. Those days the community was quite smaller (old website), but very-very helpful and supportive. I learned a lot over the years, with the grow of the community.

Sometime in 2022 I switched completely over to Manjaro Linux , after using it as a dual boot with Windows, but now this is may main daily computer OS.

I am an no developer only a simple daily user of the system. I don’t contribute to development, programming or anything similar (unfortunately), because I don´t know anything about programming, but I am an active user/reader on the forum, reading most of the time, learning from support post & co. and trying to keep up with the know how on a beginners level.

After so much time with Manjaro no week goes by without still learning something new.

I would like to use the opportunity to thank @philm and his team for making this Distro to what it is today. The last 10 years , as a simple Manjaro user has been an amazing journey for me. Thank you everyone for their invested time, hard work, their contribution and their support.
For me Manjaro was and will remain the best and only Linux Distro.

Thank you again, and keep in touch.

This still happens frequently - and it reminds me of the days of #crunchbang Linux (RIP 11 years ago) and the Linux Outlaws podcast

Happy New year to you also @gigi88 !

Thanks for those words, which echo how so many of us feel about the Manjaro project. Changing from Windows XP to Manjaro in 2013 felt “dangerous!”, not only because it was Linux but also a rolling release. What the team have created & continue to curate is nothing short of amazing. More power to you all!
