Hello all.

Since weeks i have the issue that some windows descriptions/text does not appear (light and dark theme no difference) like in the screenshot. It is a system wide issue. I have to hover with the mouse so they appear.

Somebody had this issue? i updated several times hoping that this will help but it is always the same.

Thanks in advance for replys

Your / partition is already quite full, I would recommend to clean it up or extend it. A start could be

sudo pacman -Sc

to empty some space.

Also check for orphanes:

pacman -Qdt

If you are sure they are useless, uninstall them via

sudo pacman -Rns $(pacman -Qtdq)

Check your cache:

du -sh ~/.cache/

It could be cleaned via:

rm -rf ~/.cache/*

systemd journals could be limited in size e.g. by setting

SystemMaxUse=50M

in the file /etc/systemd/journald.conf

Installing a more compatible version of pamac-manager (Add/Remove Software) will likely help with the pictured application.

sudo pacman -S pamac-gtk3

When asked to replace the previous version (pamac-gtk), choose Y (Yes), and then reboot your machine.

I hope this helps.

Cheers.

Thanks for your replies. I tried both solutions but nothing solved this. Maybe there is something wrong with my grafic card because changing partitions i booted a kubuntu installation on my system and i had similar problems. Maybe also some issue with plasma? When i boot on gnome desktop i didn’t experience any problem.

Anyway i made a fresh install, after two years it’s quite ok to do so.

Thanks again

I’d say that was a theming issue, for the record. Changing to a currently-supported theme may have solved this.
