@kudlatyamrothās suggestion works (thank you, Iād resigned myself to waiting for an update).
I initially tried the ArchWiki-suggested approach suggested by @darcmage but it didnāt work. Iāll assume my noob status had me following incorrect steps;
I created the environment.d
folder, as one did not exist in ~/.config
, and subsequent envvars.conf
file, pasted export QT_WAYLAND_DISABLE_FIXED_POSITIONS=1
into said file, saved, logged out of my X11 session and into a Wayland sessionāno go.
The updated qt5-wayland package is in Stable and Unstable but not Testing at the moment and now in Testing too, so the workaround should no longer be needed in all three branches.
Can confirm after update (just now)āremoved workarounds, logged out/in, allās well.
