A post was merged into an existing topic: [openvpn] 2.5.0 has some connection regressions

Thanks Manjaro team! This update fixed the problems with Waybar and fmt. Sway is back to being beautify again!

Update created a mkinitcpio.conf.pacnew - since I never manually edited my mkinitcpio.conf I could safely overwrite it. :+1:

Like mangiaro, had a mkinitcpio.conf.pacnew after the update.
Made the necessary changes to the existing, customised one, and generated new images. All good.

I remove this files, had some errors earlier, while overwriting existing conf files

i have made update , all ok.
i updated mkinitcpio.conf
( add compress “lstd” and added fsck in hook )
i run mkinitcpio -P, it’s ok

i check with

sudo mkinitcpio -M
==> ERROR: '/lib/modules/5.9.1-3-MANJARO' is not a valid kernel module directory

it’s means that next reboot , it will fails ?

I guess it is because you have just updated to 5.9.2 kernel.
Not sure what the autodetect does, I guess you are running with 5.9.1 still (until you reboot), but already upgraded to 5.9.2 which is why it shows that error.

I guess you’re fine. Try rebooting. Good luck :wink:

My linux59 is at 5.9.2-1.

Have you rebooted after the update?

Btw, platform-integrity error is caused by fwupd, check /etc/modules-load and you’ll see.

reboot and all is ok

Hey Manjaro-Team, you did a great job! The update went fine and my pulseaudio-ctl problem with pactl 13 is solved too. Thank’s!

for audio check this

This latest firefox 82.0.2 is full of rendering issues. Every web page has a border around divs that shouldn’t be there. Progress “spinners” render as spinning boxes rather than circles. The firefox “about” won’t even render. Font sizes are all over the place. Wrappable text overlays the first line. I could go on, but needless to say something is seriously broken!

For the time being, I’ve downgraded to 82.0.0 with no issues.

The waybar problem from the previous update is fixed now.

ftm no longer needs to be downgraded. Thank you.

It renders everything properly on my end, but I have an older GPU.

goin back to the mkinitcpio.conf.pacnew. beside changing from " "->( ), the main difference is the set/order of hooks.

old conf read;

HOOKS=“base udev autodetect modconf block keyboard keymap filesystems”

new conf reads;

HOOKS=(base udev autodetect modconf block filesystems keyboard fsck)

changes being “keyboard” coming before “filesystems”, “keymap” removed and “fsck” added at the end. i’ve simply replaced the old hooks line with the new one. will the missing keymap hook lead to any issues.
