Telegram tray icon is no longer displayed since 2.5.7

WM: Metacity (Marco)
WM Theme: BlackMATE
GTK Theme: BlackMATE [GTK2/3]
Icon Theme: mate

I use binary from official Telegram’s site. Since version 2.5.7 tray icon disappeared. In ~/.local/share/TelegramDesktop/log.txt I see this:
[2021.01.31 22:00:35] Using SNI tray icon.

How can I fix this problem?

Why aren’t you using the one in the Manjaro Community repository?

  1. The official binary worked fine until 2.5.7.
  2. In Manjaro’s repo is not recent version of Telegram (2.5.5).

Is there any particular reason why you need 2.5.7 or later? If so, you can always switch over to Manjaro Unstable, which has 2.5.8.

Solution for me:

  1. Run qt5ct
  2. Change icon style from Papirus-Dark to Mate.
  3. Restart Telegram.
