Tastatur fällt immer wieder aus

Manjaro Linux mit Cinnamon-Desktop
Kernel: 6.18.36-1

Hallo,
wir nutzen das hp-Laptop seit etwa sechs Jahren. Seit einigen Monaten tritt der Fehler auf, daß die eingebaute Tastatur spontan inaktiv wird und nicht mehr benutzt werden kann. Man kann nicht sagen, daß dies mit bestimmten Programmen zusammenhängt, die man gerade nutzt.
Dann ist das Laptop nur noch mit der Maus bedienbar und muß neu gestartet werden.
Vor kurzem habe ich den Kernel von 6.12.94-1 auf 6.18.36-1 aktualisiert. Dies brachte aber keine spürbare Verbesserung.
Hat jemand Erfahrungen mit diesem Problem? Danke für alle Hilfe!

Liegt es eventuell am Power-Managment ?
Teste doch mal usbcore.autosuspend=-1 als Kernel-/Grub Parameter
Das schaltet das Powermanagement für USB aus.
vielleicht hilft das uns weiter

Ich würde zusätzlich prüfen, ob es wirklich USB-Powermanagement ist. Die interne Laptop-Tastatur hängt oft nicht als normales USB-Gerät, daher kann usbcore.autosuspend=-1 wirkungslos sein. Wenn es wieder passiert, wäre ein externes USB-Keyboard oder SSH hilfreich, damit du ohne Neustart journalctl -k -b | tail -80 und libinput list-devices prüfen kannst. Bei einem 6 Jahre alten Gerät würde ich auch einen Hardware-/Flachbandkabel-Fehler nicht ausschließen, besonders wenn nur die interne Tastatur ausfällt und Maus/externes Keyboard weiter funktionieren.

ESC gaaanz am Anfang schnell pumpen bis das Grub-Menu kommt. Dann mit E kannst du temporär Parameter hinzufügen. Wenn ESC nicht funktioniert probiere alternativ mit SHIFT

That looks like the WMI driver trying to call manufacturer-specific WMI methods. It might be due to the BIOS, its settings, or simply ACPI.

Nichts Relevantes, außer dass du die Logitech Tastatur angeschlossen hast.

Hast du denn jetzt den “USB-Energiesparmodus” ausgeschaltet? Siehe:

Auf dem Laptop macht man das zum Beispiel mit TLP. Falls nicht da, dann installieren:

sudo pacman -Syu tlp tlpui
sudo systemctl enable --now tlp.service

Dann kannst du die tlpui im Startmenü starten und USB_AUTOSUSPEND grafisch deaktivieren. Wenn die Tastatur per PCI angeschlossen ist, dann per PCIE. Ein Neustart aktiviert dann die Konfiguration.

Ich habe nun libinput-tools installiert, für den nächsten Ausfall, wenn er denn kommt.

Außerdem die graphische Oberfläche von TLP. Das sieht dann so aus:
Unter USB habe ich USB_Autosuspend ausgeschaltet
Unter PCIe habe ich nichts zum Ändern gefunden.

Ich werde jetzt mal abwarten, ob der Fehler weiter auftritt.

Dann hoffen wir mal, dass das Problem so gelöst ist. Ansonsten kann ich nur ein Hardwaredefekt vermuten oder ein lockeres Kabel.

Ich lass diesen Beitrag noch bis Ende der Woche offen, für den Fall, daß sich etwas Neues ergibt, und schließe ihn dann!
