Tag 6.18 as LTS?

Hi!

So… I noticed that the kernel dot org page has been updated with the 6.18 as a long term release kernel so could LTS tag be added in the Manjaro Settings Manager?

This usually happens when msm (the Manjaro Settings Manager) itself is updated. There has however been an effort to rewrite the code with the objective of being able to designate a kernel as LTS without requiring msm itself to be updated.

In addition to that, another Team member has begun rewriting msm independently from the above-mentioned initiative, so we’ll have to see which of the rewrites will be coming down the pike first. :wink:

Thanks for the clarification :slight_smile:, and then I will just wait until the `msm` gets updated or the rewrite goes live. Which ever comes before

Are you talking about the work on the Manjaro Control Panel (MCP) from @LordTermor? Or do you really mean a rewrite of MSM?

I was referring to both, actually — @LordTermor’s work, and a complete rewrite by someone else.
