-Syyu declines to upgrade system for several weeks --dependency issues

For several weeks now -Syyu has declined to move forward with upgrade due to:

(1/2) Reloading system manager configuration...
(2/2) Arming ConditionNeedsUpdate...

:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing db (6.2.32-1) breaks dependency 'db=5.3.28' required by lib32-db

Any way to resolve this, or, better to wait and see???

:mag: :wink:

Thanks for the fast reply and the links . . . I did highlight the entire line with the 32-db data, and then I closed the terminal, because usually Manjaro is very precise and no need to check it . . . but then pasting it into the post I saw something was snipped off–figured it would either be known or not known. Like one of the other posters stated on the other thread, “It’s unusual for manjaro to have this type of problem . . .” hence not having any need for chops to repair nonexistent problems . . . .

Relatively new to Arch/manjaro so the other post on how to remove via pacman was also helpful.

sudo pacman -R lib32-db

Seems like the 204 packages have now gone through and we are in “post-hook” as we speak . . . .
