-Syu asks to install every single package after asking to replace files

First this message is displayed after prompting that core,extra and multilib are up to date:

Replace hwids with core/hwdata? [Y/n]

No matter if i click yes or no, every package in the system is asked to be reinstalled. The following stuff comes up:

The -Syu flag is used to do a full system upgrade and that’s the reason why those packages are getting upgraded. From pacman/Rosetta - ArchWiki :

Upgrade Packages - Install packages which have an older version already installed:
pacman -Syu

Enter Y as those packages are in conflict and one of them has to be removed. Not every package is getting re-installed.

These numbers are normal for a stable update. Use man pacman to learn more.

--noconfirm does job. BUT can damage in some scenarios or hangs out update at all. Use with care.

sudo pacman -Syu --noconfirm

From man pages

--noconfirm
Bypass any and all “Are you sure?” messages. 
It’s not a good idea to do this unless you want to run pacman from a script.

But it also prompts this message:

 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
 community is up to date
 multilib is up to date

SHould i still upgrade? I thought it is a bug or something

These are actual updates, right?

To be on the very safe side, you could update your mirrors first and then to a full sync:

sudo pacman-mirrors -g -f 5
pamac update --force-refresh

This means that the package databases are up-to-date but this still means that package updates are available.

Those are just your local databases getting synced with the mirrors you are using.

i just force refreshed pamac and its installing the 1gig update. I checked out pamac and there are actually that much updates available. So its okay now i guess. Stuff works. Thanks for the help
