System stuck on reboot & shutdown - SDDM crash

KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10
Kernel Version: 6.7.0-0-MANJARO (64-bit)

After the previous upgrade my system gets stuck during reboot and shutdown.
I see many warnings & errors but I have no idea how to solve this problem …
However, this error message seems interesting → SDDM crash

Plasma - including SDDM - often crashes on custom themes - especially after updates.

It is wellknown that Plasma is extremely sensitive when using custom theming.

I suggest you revert your system - completely - to the default theme - preferably Breeze.

Unfortunately that doesn’t change anything, I can still log in with SDDM - so there are no issues w/ SDDM when starting or login, it’s just a matter of the hangs during shutdown or reboot and I dont know if it’s caused by SDDM …

There were no problems with this before, it started right after the latest upgrade.

hmm - I don’t know - try searching dbus-broker using the search :mag: in upper right corner.

I believe there was an upstream change recently relating to this.

Also check if dbus-broker and units has been synced to your system

 $ pamac search dbus-broker --no-aur

yes, it shows the same output and status just a few warnings

create a new test user in system settings, reboot, and log in with it and see if it has the same issues…

It seems to be related to this

hmm, or could this be caused by new stuff like (systemd, mkinitcpio…) when a nfs_share is in use?

I have found the cause of the problem, jack2 and cadence are installed (including realtime privileges) …
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2145907#p2145907

Same problem here, is there a better solution than storing scripts (temporary workarounds) under /usr/lib/systemd?
it seems KillSignal=SIGKILL is needed for jack2 …

This is caused by jackdbus or missing jackdbus support in dbus-broker …
For now I use a KDE shutdown scipt (user in group audio)

/usr/bin/killall -q -w -s KILL jackdbus
