Hi,
i cant update Cursors, Styles,Icons etc. in System-Settingsince yesterday any more…
They are part of Colorful-Dark-Global-6 (Theme is already update to Plasma6)
it worked two day ago, only things i upgrade meanwhile was pacman and xz.
Has anyone had the same experience?
PS: will provide more details, when i’m back home again later…
Are you in stable branch with KDE Plasma5?
I’am and i also use KDE5 on Kernel 6.6 LTS and updated xz also today, i just switched mouse cursors wasn’t a problem for me.
What do you mean?
System settings has never had its own update mechanisms for third party styles that I know of.
It has a button for installing them.
If these are installed as packages … then they should be upgraded along with all other packages.
(sudo pacman -Syu)
If they were installed from the kde store … then the utility for managing them is usually discover.
It kinda has…
“Get new …” where you can filter updateable and update.

I think i will test it with another theme. Since i did not find an update for system-settings in the last couple of day, maybe it’s data-driven…

Ah, yes, if you sort them and/or find the entry.
(this also assumes this is the same mechanism they were installed by. Pkgs/manual placement not included)

Discover has multiple components, and can be made to also manage packages through packagekit.
But this is highly discouraged as inherently flawed and insecure.
Its main purpose, and the only thing it should be used for on Arch/Manjaro is as ‘Plasma Resources Management Tool’ … an interface to store.kde.org … a more robust version of what you are trying to engage with here.
Oh, and supposedly the fwupd part works ok too.
