System not detecting microphone

Hi, recently Skype stopped detecting microphone (“no device found” in audio settings), and it seems like it’s not visible in other apps too (tried OBS and Zoom). It’s not in the system tray either. It used to work fine, so some update must have broken it. And I’m on kernel 5.4 but it’s the same with the 5.11.

Here’s inxi Fazy:

Any help appreciated, I use teleconferencing for my everyday work and have to resort to windows for now…

EDIT: I double checked with a different kernel - in 5.4 mic is completely gone, in 5.11 the mic is fine but Skype doesn’t see the speakers now (they are otherwise ok elsewhere).
