of course i bricked my manjaro system in the midst of my master thesis It won’t boot anymore and I don’t know what to do. Before I try something out
with a live distro I need some help for solving this issue because I’m not an expert yet.
I’m suspecting it could have something to do with timeshift because i was deleting some files which did not free up any disk space so i ended up finding this post:
This kind of makes me look stupid that I restarted my computer. But it also gives me some
hope that its a solvable issue. If i wouldn’t have the opportunity to ask here i’d do what he/she did but I have the feeling I should get some input first.
Some additional stuff I did for cleaning up disk space before the restart which failed:
paccache -r pacman -Qtdq | pacman -Rns - systemctl enable paccache.timer systemctl start paccache.timer
I’d be very grateful for any help/advide I can get I’ll pull an live system on my usb to get some logs and be able to operate on the system on the meantime. I’ll post the standard logs later, if you need anything specific please let me know.
PS: don’t feel sorry too much because of the thesis. Everything is backed up. But of course it’s valuable time to get the system back / set up a new system in case that doesnt work.
