System doesnt auto detect earphones (with mic) properly

Its been quite a while since i am facing this problem

The problem is, many times system doesnt detect after boot, that if there are earphones (with mic) connected or not. Right now, while posting this i am seeing this at audio settings, but after first boot; its only the upper section without “Recording Devices” section. Although even at that time, earphones speakers do work but not microphone.

And to solve this, I always have to re-plug in earphones, to make this recording section appear; and even with this… some times the current recording device is “Internal microphone” even after i plugged in an earphone. So i have to manually switch it.

I recall when i was on a older manjaro version, i didnt had this problem, not my current windows setup has this problem, it automatically switches to earphones for default output and earphones’s mic for default input.

Install QasMixer (suite qastools).

If the issue appeared after a kernel update, consider downgrading to a previous kernel to see if that resolves the problem. Remember to restart your system or the relevant services after making changes. If the issue persists, you might want to seek help on the Manjaro forums or check for relevant bug reports.
