System boot failed after change kernel from 4.19 to 6.1

My system boot stuck forever after change kernel from 4.19 to 6.1.

It seems something to do with ACPI.

And I also tried kernel 5.4, 5.10, 5.15. Neither of them works.

my laptop also had many problems with every newer kernel than 4.19. in my case i could not use my laptop screen, but only my hdmi output. so i keep using 4.19

How did you install a new kernel?
I would recommend sticking to this guide for Manjaro.

Maybe boot from the flash drive and chroot into the system that’s not booting.
Check if the folder /etc/mkinitcpio.d/ contains linux61.preset if you have kernel 6.1 installed.
Then regenerate the initrd for all installed kernels:
$ mkinitcpio -P

Use command sudo mhwd-kernel -i linux61

I tried both the command way and the GUI way. Neither works.

An odd thing is:
The recently release liveusb is base on kernel6.1 and it stucks on booting either.
I used a very old version liveusb(around year 2020), which base on kernel4.19, that works fine.

Check if the folder /etc/mkinitcpio.d/ contains linux61.preset if you have kernel 6.1 installed.
Then regenerate the initrd for all installed kernels:
$ mkinitcpio -P

linux61.preset is exists. And after `mkinitcpio -P’, rebooting into kernel6.1 is still failed.
It always stucks on “A start job is running for XXX”, while XXXs some randomly services.

Does you labtop also use AMD Radeon graphic card?

Hmm, that’s kind of strange because according to logs the hardware is quite modern (ok maybe except the gpu), so the newer kernels should work just fine.

Have you tried booting other distros, say, Fedora or Ubuntu?

Oh, yes.
I have tried to install Fedora and Debian. The liveusb images they provided failed too.
