Hi. This is a problem I have since I installed Manjaro (October last year), but I have since ignored it. When my battery reaches 20%, the system slows down horribly making it almost impossible to do anything (write, switch applications, minimize a window …) The screen timeout is almost instantaneous. As soon as I connect the charger it returns to normal, like nothing.
On the one hand, it hadn’t bothered me particularly, because it forces me not to wait for the battery level to reach critical levels. But it is somewhat annoying.
When I arrived in Manjaro (October last year), there were some strange bugs that disabled trim, tlp and other important system components, so I ran in the terminal:
systemctl enable tlp --now
Perhaps I have duplicated this process since then, or is it unlikely? Or maybe the power manager settings are too aggressive? I’m a newbie and I’m afraid of hurting my system by changing values.

I am on GNOME. When I go to settings I only see basic controls like screen brightness and other basics. Where could I check/change those power settings?
I can’t hep you with this. I am on XFCE. There it is in “Settings”.
Tip: change the Title of this Thread to “How can i change Power-Management in Gnome” an you will get help
