Switched to X, no KDE. Snapshot booted

I switched to X, I wanted to mess with gamma & thought this would be simple. Anyway it is just a black screen with the curser now. I can not do anything. How can I switch that boot back to Wayland from here, so I have that one working again.

You don’t even have a login screen?
The display manager: SDDM

Did you set up automatic login?

How did you switch to X ?
That can normally be selected from the login screen.

Sorry, auto login is on. I went into KDE settings & switches to X in Login screen > Behavior So that one I switched to X, that will always be messed up right? I should just updte this snapshot.

I do not know the answer to that.
Probably yes, if that is the only way to be able to revert that choice you made without a GUI.
Which it is probably not - but:
Aren’t such things what snapshots are for?

I just have no experience with using those and consequently will not blindly recommend and answer: yes, do that.

To disable Autologin you can edit the ssdm con file:

sudo nano /etc/sddm.conf

Comment the lines with autologin, users and session:

# [Autologin]
# User=edward78
# Session=plasma.desktop

Save and restart.
