This failure happen very often. When it failed to suspend to ram, i usually try everything to shut it down… like “shutdown now” “shutdown -c” “ctrl+alt+del”… but not available. after quite sometime, it auto goes into sleep mode… … sometime it shut down… but that’s quite a long wait…

what i observed is:

pastebin: suspend failure journalctl

You’re using an unsupported kernel. It may be causing problems due to incompatibility with the other software.

Your swap file is only 256 MB which might be much too small to suspend to memory. The journal indicates that there is very long cron job running which doesn’t stop. Did you set up a cron job?

No, i didn’t setup any cron… and this manjaro was the most recently installed… i haven’t even timeshift it yet… i was waiting till all minor issue solves (eg: lid close does not work well to sleep …etc) before timeshift it…
swap file ? i didn’t even have hibernation setup… why swap file ? i think i didn’t setup swap file so far, i think it default…
hmm… if swap file is so tiny … much smaller than my ram… how come it manage to sleep sometime ? weird…

Where can i know that 5.12 kernel is unsopported or EOL ? I was searching google for EOL of manjaro kernel but yield no result…

You can look on the forum here under stable updates and see what kernels are supported.

Please read this!
