The only way to run Microsoft Surfaces that I know of is to also use the linux-surface kernel. Doesn’t look like the Surface Pro X is supported by this kernel currently.
3.15I have a surface pro x - and it is ARM based - so you should check the architecture before getting too enthusiatic.
