Sudden freezes after update

I also encountered sudden freezes repeatedly on kernel 6.6.74-1. Partly the mouse pointer was still moving slowly but got out of control and I made a hard reboot via PC-RESET button.
My solution to this problem was a fallback to the prior 6.1.126-1 kernel version that’s still installed on the system. After reboot and kernel downgrade no sudden system freeze has occurred so far.

UPDATE: unfortunately system freezes still occur sporadically on kernel 6.1.126-1. Seems to be a deeper issue.

Hi @Fidelis22 ,
I noticed that you have two other disk with maj-min although you have installed Manjaro in /dev/sda. I think you are booting from /dev/sda with GPT partition scheme. I wonder whether you could you explain the reason for having the others and why you have unmounted drives as /dev/sda5 /dev/sda6 which are labeled as have docs-ssd and foto-ssd.

Regards,
