Stuck at manjaro loading screen, no TTY, need help finding error and repairing

Hello,

I rebooted after noticing I could no longer use lutris because vulkan issues. I had just updated system so thought a reboot might be first order then got stuck at loading screen.
TTY will only stay on the screen if I hold crl + alt f1,f2 etc (can’t enter any commands)
Chrooted in on liveISO and did the following, and got the following errors.

Just a thought, is the following mount command sufficient for accessing all the necessary area’s?
mount -o subvol=@ /dev/… /mnt? I am on a btrfs partitioning. I noted in the mount command that I could see proc, sys, dev etc so I assume I don’t need to mount these manually? (still getting used to btrfs and arch)

Also, am I ok to use the cryptsetup luksOpen command only on the sda2 (root) partition? or do I need to be unlocking the sda3(boot) and mounting that aswell?

The directories are there because they are themselves inodes on the root subvolume @, but they are empty because nothing is mounted there.

Hmmm, so it that why I am receiving ‘critical errors’ within pacman installations? I wonder.

So I started manually mounting but then I was unable to chroot into root as it was busy.

Does manjaro disk encryption encrypt the boot partition as well? If I use cryptsetup luksOpen on that partition where can that be found afterwards for mounting? It took me some time to figure out that when I unencrypted the root partition it was stored at /dev/mapper/lvm. ill take a look at crypsetup man when I get back home I think.

I guess it depends on whether you use whole-disk encryption. I believe it’s possible to have only the root filesystem encrypted, but I don’t really know. I don’t use encryption here — this is a desktop machine, so there’s little point in that.

I did not find the solution in the end but I did manage to retried my home folder to backup my files, so I nuked it and installed Arch.
