So when I launch steam on a custom kernel or main kernel I get this error: “X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)” started shortly after I installed nvidia-dkms and going back to nvidia doesn’t fix it. using my igpu works however. (note: I’m on arch linux 64 bit).

I do believe I have everything. updated nvidia-settings to see if that fixes it. (edit: did not help)

Wouldn’t the arch forums be better to ask than us for this? Because we don’t have the same kernel patches as Arch. And some configs might be different.

If you believe that, why bother using an OS where people don’t care about helping you? “I don’t think” sounds like you haven’t attempted, so you should try posting over there for help.
