Verify you Proton files from your Steam Library (you need to enable Tools in the library filters). For each Proton version installed, right click, go to Properties, Local Files, and Verify the files. Do that also for Steam Linux Runtime - Soldier. Check which version of Proton you are using globally in Steam Settings and/or for each game if you have configured specific version of Proton per game.
You can also reset the Proton prefix for each game in Steam by deleting its folder located at ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/XXXXXXX where XXXXXXX is the game Steam App ID this will force the recreation of the Proton prefix for the game (that may lead in savegame loss if the game doesn’t use Steam cloud for savegames)
