Steam not launching from KDE Application Launcher

Hello, I am having a weird issue running Steam:

  • Steam does not launch when running from the Application Launcher in KDE
  • If I run steam from the terminal, starts as expected

This is my system information:

  • OS: Manjaro 25.0.6 Zetar
  • Kernel: x86_64 Linux 6.12.39-1-MANJARO
  • Shell: zsh 5.9
  • Resolution: 1920x1080
  • DE: KDE (Plasma 6.3.6 / Frameworks 6.16.0 / Qt 6.9.1)
  • WM: KWin
  • GTK Theme: Breeze-Dark [GTK2], Breeze [GTK3]
  • CPU: Intel Core i7
  • GPU: Mesa Intel(R) UHD Graphics (TGL GT1)

Does it happen with Steam (native) and with Steam (Runtime)?

Have you tried to use the same command as the application launcher in the terminal?
You can get the command by editing the menu.

hi @Erim, First I only had multilib/steam, then also multilib/steam-native-runtime. With both the same scenario: launch from terminal but not from Application Launcher.
