That shouldn’t have anything to do with Steam running. My nVidia drivers certainly didn’t contribute to my problem.

There was an issue with nvidia 450 drivers missing a 32bit lib causing steam to fc. It can’t affect you being on radeon but it maybe something along those lines
how did the people affected fix it? like where did they get the missing files from?
is what fixed it for me. I still have to start Steam more than once before it runs.
I also had the exact same issue on Manjaro Bspwm. Steam is working fine on my laptop but not on my desktop. Installing lib32-vulkan-driver with my correct driver fixed it for me. In my case it was 440-xx Nvidia.
sudo pacman -S lib32-vulkan-driver
installed it and still no progress, sorry
You can rename the ~/.steam folder and try running it again, which will make the client download again. Afterward, you can copy the contents of the renamed folder back to ~/.steam.
I tried renaming and then total deletion, it doesn’t even download the data. The folder you mean is in home right?
