Update is fine on GTX 1050 Ti with linux618.
Thanks!
These are effectively a notification that you have two “.pacnew” files that should be dealt with.

there’s only one issue, but that is not much related to Manjaro.

all things I need are working, AI has not helped me with that massage, just that it is related to graphic card
thanx team for your work!
The fixme mesaages when running wine can usually be ignored, especially if things are running
@ddns
I experienced the same thing (notifications not closing after timeout) with one user account after the 5/19/2026 stable update. I got it to resolve by deleting .cache/plasmashell and .cache/org.kde.plasma in the user’s home directory, rebooting, and having the user login again.
@discobot
I had already voted that the stable update on 5/19/2026 was successful with no problems, and it may not have been due to that update specifically (i.e. it could have already been happening due to a prior update), but now I have noticed that external USB SSDs (one formatted ext4, one formatted exFAT) are experiencing problems on linux70 kernels. Problems have included refusing to show up in the list of devices when plugged in, or mounting OK but reporting that fstrim was not supported. Each time the problems were reproducible after rebooting. The problems resolved when I switched to the 6.12.90-1-MANJARO kernel, but only after a cold reboot.
Mod edit: Consecutive posts merged.
You can always change your vote. Discobot is indeed a bot and not a person so you don’t neet to reply it personally, won’t react ![]()
For the usb worries it would be best to start a new topic.
When deleting files, the notification from dolphin “Deletion completed” is not hidden. In the test branch, I believe that the patch in the stable branch behaves the same way.
I’m getting the following log spam from plasmashell:
plasmashell[1619]: qrc:/qt/qml/org/kde/desktop/HorizontalHeaderView.qml:38:9: Unable to assign [undefined] to QString
A quick search showed a similar report on CachyOS subreddit and it seems to be related to updated qt6 from 6.11.0 to 6.11.1.
By the way, i am actively updating the Problems and Solutions with what i think comes up and seems important. Just letting you know. And i trimmed the December Solutions from current topic, i think 5 months history is enough, if one needs more can always open the previous update topic.
May I ask which kernels are patched?
two new errors showing up in journal after this update:
org_kde_powerdevil[1127]: [ 1127][ 0.677330] Time since library initialized: 0.677327 seconds
org_kde_powerdevil[1127]: [ 1127][ 0.677340] Extra delay starting dw_start_watch_displays: 0 millisec
If your mouse cursor is in the space where the notification appears, then the notification will remain visible. The solution is to move your mouse pointer somewhere else.
No, the cursor is in a different place.
Don’t know exactly why, but the upgrade was very defective, and there were a lot of packets corrupted (with 0 bit archives, or not matching the sums). Fortunately, I had the TimeShift backup, so I went back, cleaned cache, and redownload and reinstall, and everything is proper now.
I just got the problem when rebooted and saw that PulseAudio was unable to start. But I have no info about what failed, really. I’m on laptop, so it was not a power cut (that could have been reason if not so). Just to inform, for if it can help.
Did you refresh your mirror list before updating? One should always do that before applying a bundled update like this.
To check for errors in pulseaudio systemd units:
systemctl --user status -l --no-pager pulseaudio.socket pulseaudio.service
Blender stopped launching when using --gpu-backend vulkan, with same error and crashdump as mentioned in Blender bug tracker. However, official build (same 5.1.1) worked correctly and after that even system blender started/kept working correctly.
Problem reappears if I delete ~/.cache/blender/vk-spirv-cache/ and launch system blender, disappears after official blender has been launched once with vulkan.

For my own understanding… this (and the last couple) updates have been part of the Bian-May preview / beta… and Bian-May is officially releasing end of May or beginning of June.
4 posts were split to a new topic: Cannot open a wine program after 2026-05-19 Stable Update
I thought I had an issue, as the server failed to boot, after the update, but after a bit of fiddling around, running out the the shed where the server now lives, and connecting a Monitor to it I discovered it was the old USB HDD, that I’m not actually using (fortunately) at the moment, had failed, and the server would not boot while it was attached.
I removed the reference to it in fstab and unplugged it, and I was good to go. So no issues from the update.
