Pipewire maxes out a single CPU thread with this update on an ASUS laptop. I’ve solved it by installing manjaro-pulse and running

sudo systemctl disable --global pipewire  

Not a difficult fix. But I must say I’m sick to death of pipewire. I run into something different with it on every single system I use, whether its XFCE, KDE or Gnome, whatever the hardware.

if you are using kernel 6.1 an upgrade might help

Pipewire process using 100% of CPU

I don’t believe I have changed anything to do with Pipewire the only recent change it installing the recent upgrades. The pipewire process keeps taking 100% of one CPU. The fan inside the machine is going continuously. The fan usually only goes when I am doing something processor intensive such as video rendering.
